Get More Sales With These 5 Proven Headings

It is very important to realize that headings work best when they interest your reader’s interests (not yours). And not only can they * grab attention *, they can also make your message simple to check out, convey your primary selling points, and lead your customer to a sale.

For many years copywriting pros have actually used several headline formulas that constantly work well. Here are my fab five:

1. The Concern: “Are You Concerned About Your Financial Future?”

A concern headline immediately gets your readers associated with your message, because they answer it in their minds. Many individuals will check out even more into your letter, ad, or Website copy just to find out what answer or solution you offer. Again, make sure the question focuses on the reader’s interest, not yours. A bad example would be: “Do You Know What New Product We’ve Produced This Year?” (No one cares but you!).

2. The How-to: “How to Get Thinner Thighs in thirty days.”.

How-to headlines work effectively, because people love info that reveals them how to do something. (Countless book titles start with “How to …”) Think about the benefits your product/service deals and after that attempt producing some “how to” headings email newsletter.

3. The Testimonial: “Jane Smith’s Consulting Is Pure Magic– Our Sales Have Increased by 30%!”.

Why not let your clients do the selling for you? Their commendations can go a long way in convincing others to use your services. Idea: To appear reputable, always include your clients’ full names and the cities they reside in.

4. The Command: “Increase Your Organisation Today!”.

(By the method, throwing a number into your heading is another great tactic. And readers seem to like odd numbers as opposed to even.).

5. The News: “Introducing Our New ‘Rest-Assured’ Tax Service!”.

Caution: This only works if you genuinely have something big to announce that is of interest to the reader. (Something that will make her life or organisation better.) Do not attempt to make news out of something that’s not.

As soon as your readers understand you have something they have an interest in, they’ll make the effort to read your whole post, brochure, letter, ad, e-zine, or Web page.

Put some TLC into producing headlines that attract!

A concern headline automatically gets your readers included in your message, due to the fact that they address it in their minds. Once again, make sure the concern focuses on the reader’s interest, not yours. (By the method, tossing a number into your headline is another great tactic. And readers appear to like odd numbers as opposed to even.).

Caution: This only works if you truly have something big to announce that is of interest to the reader.
